ERS Industries investments in its, new factory in Iskandar Malaysia, its new Japanese production lines and achieving ISO 9001:2000 Certification have led to the largest order for its racking equipment and services from outside Singapore. Managing Director Tony Lee said today in Singapore that “this was a testament to the dedication of staff of ERS Industries and their will to improve, achieve and meet customer’s requirements.
The effort required to build a new manufacturing facility, commission the new production lines and maintain deliveries to customers of the complete product line; Gold Leaf Server Rack, ER Model Server Cabinets and Green Leaf Server Racks with all the options has been just phenomenal. It has been a real professional performance and this win can be viewed as the mark of success.”
While ERS Industries have been selling and supplying its complete range of Gold Leaf, ER Model, Green Leaf racks, wall mounts, open cabinets and secure racks internationally for many years it had in the main undertaken these through its extensive Dealer/Distributor network. However, in the large project space it has been shown that ERS needed to be directly involved in the bidding process.
The sales team worked in a very focused manner to ensure that the specification was clearly understood, that all aspects were responded to comprehensively and succinctly so the ERS Industries bid was delivered on time and complete. ERS Industries winning of this order is an honour and it can be seen as a successful achievement for the staff of the company.
Mr Lee stated that “2009 has so far been a successful year for ERS Industries as it had won multiple projects in Singapore, Sri Lanka and now this project. However, we must maintain our dedication to delivery” he said “ensuring that we exceed expectations with on time deliveries and quality product. We have the products, we have the manufacturing capacity and the people to meet the goals.”

Mr. Tony Lee, ERS Industries Managing Director stated today that the Company had been successful in winning two more substantial projects for the supply of Racking Equipment.
- ERS had again secured a Data Center supply contract following on from those successfully won in 2008. It featured ERS Industries leading Rack designed and developed by its engineers in Singapore and produced on its new Japanese production line in its manufacturing facility in Iskandar, Malaysia.
- Following on from its Announcement in 2008 that ERS won a Telco Rack supply project in Sri Lanka, ERS Industries has now quickly followed up with a second win in April 2009. This result for ERS Industries has allowed it to consolidate its position in Sri Lanka telecom sector as reliable supplier of Racks and services to support the market.
Mr Lee noted that these wins are a great credit to the ERS Industries team as they have demonstrated their drive, enthusiasm to win and delivery capability within the region and this has placed ERS Industries racks within the Asia market as a quality product.

ERS Industries announced today that their new manufacturing facility in Iskandar Malaysia had succeeded in a very short timeframe to gain the ISO 9001:2000 Certification. The Certification was awarded both by the Standards Malaysia Accredited Certification Body ( Accredition No.: QS 04082009 CB 10) and UKAS Quality Management body ( Bureau Veritas Certification (holding) using the Accreditation certificate number 008).

Tony Lee noted that he was delighted with the success which reflected the continuing effort of the ERS Industries staff and management in focusing on innovation, high quality, prompt delivery and support beyond expectation.

To provide more options in the market and assist customers with more efficiently racking solutions, ERS Research & Development (R&D) team (total of 5 engineers plus marketing specialists) has rolled out two new products for launch in 2009:
-- A Telecom cabinet rated at IP55
-- A new model GoldLeaf Server Rack.
Rezwan, ERS Industries Senior Engineer and leader of the R&D team stated, “We cannot rest on our laurels. With the coming challenging economy, we must deliver higher-end products to our customers at a lower cost. We continue to work on more product innovation which is planned for release in the next 6 months to cope with this challenge”.

In the first part of October 2008 ERS Industries management, prompted by the continued sales growth, made the strategic decision to invest in another production line to boost volume and quality.
While outsourcing could have been used to cover the increase in orders, the flexibility of in-house production to sustain a wide range in product mix, the desire to meet higher quality goals and ERS Industries determination to meet short lead time delivery for its customers made the decision for another production line persuasive.
ERS Industries expects that its improved production will have the advantages;
-
Of reduce inventory costs for its customers by its short lead times,
-
The convenience by its ability to deliver to any location in Singapore on the day
-
Its expanding product range will improve customers’ efficiency and utilization in wining business.
An order for over S$600,000 (US$400,000) for a Japanese manufactured top end machine was placed and this was installed and put into production on 13th October 2008.
With the new capacity, total racks produced in October 2008 is expected to reach a new high of 20,000 enclosures per month…
The production floor was also extended by another 8,000 sq feet so as to accommodate all machinery and inventory under one roof.

In moving into their new 60,000 sq feet new Iskandar Malaysia factory on 1 September 2008, Duramex Industries Sdn Bhd(the manufacturing arm of ERS Industries Pte Ltd), continued production with only minimal disruption.
The new factory allowed for a more efficient operation by better machine center layout, less process steps doubling production and increasing quality and flexibility. Customers have been impressed with the short production times, better quality and presentation of products.
A Singaporean customer Mr Tan stated, “I am impressed with the quick turnaround capability of ERS…not only did they moved into the new factory within 3 days with no loss in production time (they made use of the public holidays 31/8 to 2/9), the quality also meets our requirements. Such achievement reflects the ‘can do’ attitude of the team and we are now placing more orders with ERS”.

After years of planning and searching, ERS’s factory in Malaysia (operating under Duramex Industries Sdn Bhd) will be relocating to a brand new 60,000 square feet 2-storey state-of-the-art factory at the hottest development in Malaysia – Iskandar Malaysia.
The address is: No. 18, Jalan Mega 1, Taman Perindustrian Nusa Cemerlang, Johor Malaysia.

Together it Consultants ERS Industries is implementing new processes and documenting its factory operations to be ISO 9001 certified in Jun 2008
ERS Industries has also appointed consultants to commence the ISO 14000 certification audit once its new factory in Johor Malaysia is commissioned in September 2008.
 ERS took a booth at CommunicAsia 2007 and invited its partners Clipsal, and Raritan to participate with product displays and meeting visitors. The booth was very well patronised by visitors including existing customers and prospects.
The booth featured the ERS product lines with the Open Rack being featured at the booth entrance with wiring management trucking and fixed and roller shelves for computer keyboards etc. During the show it also doubled as shelving for products brochures and rack installation information.
The booth theme featured the Yellow/Gold colour reflecting the brand name of ERS Industries top quality Gold Leaf rack which was also a feature of the booth.
 All of ERS Industries management staffed the booth, Managing Director Tony Lee was greeting visitors and handing out complimentary pens and wiring straps branded with ERS’s logo. Director CK Cheong was constantly discussing use of the rack options to enhance equipment density and increase flexibility with customers and prospects and Sales Manager Alfred Lee met new prospects signed them up for ERS’s regular newsletter.
ERS Industries was at CommunicAsia 2007 to showcase their quality racks and cabinets to the electronics, teleco and construction industries and keen find more prospects in the region for ERS Industries products and services. Currently ERS Industries is selling directly or indirectly through its resellers to clients in Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and USA.
ERS Industries Pte Limited announced that they have signed for the supply of a new product line to be installed in a new factory in Johor Bahru. ERS Managing Director Tony Lee stated that the investment was undertaken for three main reasons:
- to ensure that ERS could continue to produce product for its clients and customers at the highest quality, improving both technical and ergonomic aspects.
- to keep ahead of the competition with manufacturing efficiency and flexibility that allowed for continued innovation.
- to increase volume to meet the growing markets of South East Asia and constantly maintaining our ability to deliver on time.
Tony noted that the industries that they served, being contracting, construction and the electronics sectors were always under pressure and modern manufacturing equipment allowed ERS Industries to support their clients and customers more professionally with technically better product, shorter delivery times and with more variety of options.
The manufacturing line is expected to be in production in the first half of August 2007.
