To provide more options in the market and assist customers with more efficiently racking solutions, ERS Research & Development (R&D) team (total of 5 engineers plus marketing specialists) has rolled out two new products for launch in 2009:
-- A Telecom cabinet rated at IP55
-- A new model GoldLeaf Server Rack.
Rezwan, ERS Industries Senior Engineer and leader of the R&D team stated, “We cannot rest on our laurels. With the coming challenging economy, we must deliver higher-end products to our customers at a lower cost. We continue to work on more product innovation which is planned for release in the next 6 months to cope with this challenge”.

In the first part of October 2008 ERS Industries management, prompted by the continued sales growth, made the strategic decision to invest in another production line to boost volume and quality.
While outsourcing could have been used to cover the increase in orders, the flexibility of in-house production to sustain a wide range in product mix, the desire to meet higher quality goals and ERS Industries determination to meet short lead time delivery for its customers made the decision for another production line persuasive.
ERS Industries expects that its improved production will have the advantages;

Of reduce inventory costs for its customers by its short lead times,
-
The convenience by its ability to deliver to any location in Singapore on the day
-
Its expanding product range will improve customers’ efficiency and utilization in wining business.
An order for over S$600,000 (US$400,000) for a Japanese manufactured top end machine was placed and this was installed and put into production on 13th October 2008.
With the new capacity, total racks produced in October 2008 is expected to reach a new high of 20,000 enclosures per month…
The production floor was also extended by another 8,000 sq feet so as to accommodate all machinery and inventory under one roof.

In moving into their new 60,000 sq feet new Iskandar Malaysia factory on 1 September 2008, Duramex Industries Sdn Bhd(the manufacturing arm of ERS Industries Pte Ltd), continued production with only minimal disruption.
The new factory allowed for a more efficient operation by better machine center layout, less process steps doubling production and increasing quality and flexibility. Customers have been impressed with the short production times, better quality and presentation of products.
A Singaporean customer Mr Tan stated, “I am impressed with the quick turnaround capability of ERS…not only did they moved into the new factory within 3 days with no loss in production time (they made use of the public holidays 31/8 to 2/9), the quality also meets our requirements. Such achievement reflects the ‘can do’ attitude of the team and we are now placing more orders with ERS”.

After years of planning and searching, ERS’s factory in Malaysia (operating under Duramex Industries Sdn Bhd) will be relocating to a brand new 60,000 square feet 2-storey state-of-the-art factory at the hottest development in Malaysia – Iskandar Malaysia.
The address is: No. 18, Jalan Mega 1, Taman Perindustrian Nusa Cemerlang, Johor Malaysia.
 Our new factory is located within Bandar Nusajaya, a vibrant growth area of Johor Bahru, Johor, within 10 minutes drive from Singapore’s 2nd Link at Tuas. It is strategically located at the center of the super-prime tier within Iskandar Malaysia, the largest development corridor under 9th Malaysia’s Plan.
Total investment in this factory is more than RM 6 million or almost US$2 million.
With this new investment, ERS has moved up in its rankings to be one of the top equipment rack manufacturers in Singapore. A seasoned investor observed that “such investment speaks volume of the company’s commitment and capability in this industry”.
What this new factory can do for you:
